Surfaces parallel with edges tapering toward the point. Surfaces and edges single cut - commonly referred to as mill bastard.

Useful for filing where a smooth finish is important. Also good for polishing and de-burring work on lathes.

Series 138 features one round edge, while Series 140 has two round edges.
